The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru has a taut, fresh and poised bouquet typical of this vintage. Green apples mix with crushed stone. The palate is (again) taut and linear, underpinned by a sharp line of acidity. There is real depth and clarity to this Les Pucelles, almost tangy on the finish. This will probably broach its peak in the next two or three years.
